The Anchor Inn1-3 High Street
One of Cowes' main live music venues, The Anchor showcases the best of local talent with events nearly every night throughout the summer and a special mix of talent throughout Cowes Week. Opposite the Yacht Haven, this large traditional Inn is the ideal place to relax and refuel with friends after a tough day of racing. The team at The Anchor are also providers of the temporary marquee bars within the Yacht Haven over Cowes Week Regatta. Offering good food, a full specials board and a good selection of real ales, it's an all round great pub, well worth a visit.
The Pier View
Terminus Road
With a reputation for being the first point of call for a number of yachtsmen looking for a well-kept pint of real ale after a hard day out at sea, The Pier View also attracts a large number of visitors making the most of its ideal location for a hearty home cooked lunch of traditional dishes alongside seafood specials. Wednesday nights are well knows as 'blender nights' with a huge variety of cocktails on offer and promises to be a popular event during Cowes Week.
The Vectis Tavern103 High Street
A real locals' pub, The Vectis Tavern has held onto its traditional old English pub feel. The staff are as friendly as they come, offering a warm welcome to all visitors, whether arriving for a single pint, to take part in the weekly quiz nights, open mic evenings or simply visiting during racing regattas. With no food on offer, the charming pub is easily overlooked, though has definitely proved itself to be the ideal place for a get together drink with friends and crew alike.
The Union InnWatch House Lane
Known for its English boutique style, this newly refurbished establishment offers six individually themed, en suite letting rooms providing a haven for yachting enthusiasts as well as a stylish character pub. The cosy fireside interior definitely makes it the ideal place in Cowes for relaxing in comfortable intimate seating areas both dog and child friendly to enjoy one of the freshly prepared to order, homely dishes on offer from the impressive menu. Certainly worth a visit for families looking to sample a delicious meal in a welcoming, chilled out atmosphere. The Union can be found just off The Parade.
The Waterside72a High Street
With possibly the best views in Cowes, being located right on the waterfront, the terrace balcony makes for the most stunning views out across the Solent. It's an ideal place to watch the famous Cowes Week Fireworks after an exciting week of fast paced racing. Drawing in a slightly younger crowd, The Waterside always has a lively atmosphere and is a regular destination for those looking to enjoy themselves.
