The Classic Boat Museum in East Cowes is holding an open day on Saturday, 27 October from 1030 to 1600.
The aim of the day is both to encourage new volunteers and supporters to join, and to take the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to all those who have helped the Museum during the past year. In addition, the Museum would also like to share their plans for what they hope to achieve over the coming winter.
Why not come along at around midday and hear what they have to say, and stay for a drink and a bite to eat?
The Classic Boat Museum are currently looking for people to help with boat restoration, DIY work on their premises, reception duties, display and curatorial projects - there is something for everyone. So if you know of anyone who might be interested then encourage them to come along and have a chat.
Admission will be free to all on the day and the Museum hopes it will give members of the public the opportunity to visit this unique attraction and meet some serving volunteers.
You can find the Classic Boat Museum at Albany Road, East Cowes, PO32 6AA.
