Environment Agency hovercraft survey.
Notice is hereby given that the Environment Agency will be conducting survey operations on the mudflats in the River Medina, between Thursday, 5 August and Thursday, 6 September 2012.
The surveys will be conducted from a small hovercraft, the hovercraft is exempted from Cowes Harbour Commission Byelaw 12 of 1972 and during survey operations may exceed 6 knots.
The surveys will take place during daylight hours and around the time of low water and, as the hovercraft will operate mainly over the mudflats, there will be little interference with other vessels navigating in Cowes Harbour or the River Medina.
The hovercraft will monitor VHF Ch 69 when on survey.
This notice will be self-canceling on completion of the survey, which is anticipated to be by 1400 on 6 September
