New to the collection for 2012 and a welcome addition is the women’s BR2 Offshore Jacket & BR2 Offshore Dropseat Trousers (left). These have been anatomically tailored for the female figure and feature the essential drop-seat facility. The BR2 fabric is Musto’s best (non Gore) waterproof and breathable material which allows moisture to escape through microscopic holes which are too small for water to penetrate. The BR2 range is an ideal option for offshore sailors who spend considerable time on the water.Within the BR1 range, a new addition for 2012 include lower price-pointed, waterproof BR1 Race Shorts as well as stylish redesigns to men’s and women’s BR1 Inshore and BR1 Race Jackets and an ergonomic redesign (for performance, movement and comfort) to the BR1 Trousers and BR1 Drop-Seat Trousers for women. The BR1 fabric is aimed at entry level sailors who require waterproof and breathable protection for their sailing activity – whether racing or cruising so perfectly suited to sailing Cowes.
Musto has also responded to the market demand for an effective entry level middle layer and for the 2012 season has added the new Shelled Middle Layer (right) to their 3-Layer system choices. The Shelled Middle Layer Jacket and Salopettes are made from a lightweight and flexible, low absorption rip-stop Nylon, with high loft ARCTEC240 fleece lining.

The new Evolution Lite Jacket is constructed using Musto’s 2.5 layer breathable technology and has been designed to be extremely lightweight and packable. The Soft Shell Jacket and Gilet are ideal choices for layering and have been redesigned in a 4-way comfort stretch fabric which is both soft and insulating. The added DWR treatment encourages water to bead and run off.
The popular Windjammer Jacket and Gilet are also back and offer excellent heat retention through the reduction of wind chill, something that is definitely needed in the brisk winds of the Solent.

Musto has upgraded all its fleecewear with the latest ARCTEC240 and ARCTEC160 high loft fabric. With superior warmth-to-weight performance and a DWR finish these lightweight garments will become firm favourites, available in many different styles. Also, the funky Musto Evolution Logo Hoody will appeal to younger wearers in a technical fabric with bold Evolution branding.

Features include GORE-TEX® stretch fabric panels for a greater range of movement, the 3-way adjustable hood for perfect fit, a high fleece lined collar and four fleece-lined hand warmer pockets.

All HPX Products are constructed using a highly durable bonded 3-layer GORE-TEX® Pro Shell with Ocean Technology® membrane and GORE™ Micro Grid Backer, something that will come in handy during this year's Round the Island Race is the weather is no better than 2011's race.
Musto continues to manufacture the hardy HPX Ocean Drysuit which is revered by professional ocean sailors and can be found on the majority of current round the world racing boats.
