Oyster Regatta 2012

With interest building in the London 2012 Olympics and a number of significant events already planned in Solent waters, we have secured berthing for a large Oyster fleet at Cowes Yacht Haven and, hosted by the Royal Yacht Squadron, we are planning an Oyster event with an Olympic flavour!

Supported by our family of sponsors, Oyster Regattas and events are run on a "hands on" basis by our own staff and, with the emphasis on fun, include parties and social functions every evening, not just for owners but also for their crew and friends. Those owners who do not wish to race, but just want to come and join in the shoreside parties and events are very welcome. 

Owners have the opportunity to visit some of the world's leading yacht clubs. In recent years the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, Royal Thames Yacht Club, Royal Southern Yacht Club, New York Yacht Club, Real Club Nautico in Palma and the Royal Yacht Squadron have all hosted Oyster events.

Many owners have told us they get more out of their sailing, having gained advice and useful tips on how to get the best from sailing their Oyster during these events. Apart from enjoying the racing and parties, there is the opportunity to meet other owners and crews from different parts of the world. We know that many friendships have been founded at our regattas as well as the sharing of cruising experiences and places visited that all goes toward the camaraderie that has always existed between our owners and the team at Oyster.
