Superyacht Cup 2012

Superyachts are invited to participate in a special edition Superyacht Cup Cowes 2012 to take place in the waters of the Solent, UK from 22-25 July, 2012. Organised in association with the prestigious Royal Yacht Squadron, the event will offer owners and guests a unique experience of sailing in the Solent and around the Isle of Wight, the course made famous by the first America‚s Cup in 1851



Kate Branagh, Event Manager has told us 'Cowes was the obvious choice as we wanted to celebrate the year of the Olympics being in the UK and Cowes has such a rich history of yacht racing. Many of the yachts and owners that attend our events will be familiar with the history of Cowes but may not have sailed there before and having this chance to race against similar size yachts and enjoy the social programme surrounding the event is proving very attractive. 

Although it is early days, the organisers say interest is high and 18 yachts are already on the list to take part. It is not certain at this early stage how many yachts will be involved but there are a few provisional entries below.
