Island Sailing Club
The Island Sailing Club was founded in 1889 to provide a new club to organise racing for smaller craft, hitherto unrepresented in Cowes.
A purpose built clubhouse with restaurant, balcony, and roof terrace overlooking the Fairway has made the ISC the largest sailing club in Cowes and a welcoming club for all visiting yachtsmen and women.
The Club hosts the largest annual race in the UK, the JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race. Tuesday evening racing throughout the summer is very popular, and the Club also has an active winter social programme. Open daily for hot food, snacks, bar, and accommodation, the ISC is a great place to meet with fellow yachtsmen, motor boat owners, and locals.
