Lady C - A Cruise in the Caribbean
Iain MacAlister and his wife Gaynor, are setting off on a six month cruise to the Caribbean. Together with their beloved 1939 14 ton Hilyard ketch, Lady Corinne (Lady C), they will spend time sailing around the islands, snorkelling, scuba diving, and making the most of their dream trip.
Iain will be writing regular updates about their voyage for readers of Cowes Online.
After a major re-fit to their boat, the couple sailed Lady Corinne from Chichester, UK, to Gran Canaria in August 2009, and after yet more work and repairs they set sail for the Caribbean in mid-December.
The crossing will take them about four to five weeks as Lady C is built for comfort not speed, but they will enjoy every minute of life on the open sea!
