Notice is hereby given that Cowes Harbour Commission is now an approved Reception Facility for Time Expired Pyrotechnics (TEPs). From Friday 24 October 2025, TEPs can be surrendered with the applicable fee at Shepards Marina and Kingston Boatyard. TEPs will not be accepted at the Harbour Office.

From 31 December 2022, HM Coastguard stopped accepting TEPs. To help fill the gap in service to customers, CHC are now the only approved TEP reception facility on the Isle of Wight.

There is a £6 fee per TEP. The reception facility is open to both Island residents and visitors. The drop off hours are as follows:

• Shepards Marina – 0900 to 1700, seven days a week
• Kingston Boatyard – 0900 to 1500, Monday to Friday

TEPs will not be accepted outside of these hours.

We ask all harbour users to use this facility responsibly and in accordance with the proper disposal procedures, so that together we can sustain this valuable service for the Island community.
