We have 4,300m of pontoons, 276 swinging moorings and 40 pile moorings and depending on location vessels with a draught up to 4.5m can be accommodated. Contact the team at Shepards Marina to make your reservation.

Visitor Moorings

Cowes Harbour can accommodate most vessels, the limitation generally being your draught, however, pontoon berths of up to 3m below chart datum can be found on the fairway side of Shepards Marina.

If you wish to stay outside of a marina there are less expensive alternatives. From pontoon berths in the Whitegates area, to swinging moorings in Cowes Roads with terrific views of the Solent, or peaceful moorings further up the River Medina conveniently close to the Folly Inn.

Contact the Cowes Harbour team based at Shepards Marina in advance on 01983 297821, or by email shepards.chc@cowes.co.uk, or speak to us on the day by calling ‘HM1’ on VHF Channel 69. The marina can be contacted directly on VHF Channel 80 and the Folly Berthing Master on VHF Channel 72.

Annual Moorings

Cowes Harbour offers over 650 annual licences, covering a variety of mooring options. These include pontoons, pile and swinging moorings. Generally, boats of up to 20m can be accommodated depending on your draught. All Cowes Harbour Services annual moorings benefit from a central Solent location and a harbour water taxi service. The Cowes Harbour Services Moorings team, operating from Shepards Marina, carries out safety and security checks 365 days a year.

Due to the popularity of Cowes Harbour, we operate a waiting list for the majority of moorings.

All of the mooring options can be found on the Mooring Location Chart
