Cowes Harbour Commission Achieves Prestigious Platinum Green Impact Award

Cowes Harbour Commission is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious Platinum Green Impact Award, recognising the organisation’s continued commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility and positive action across the Isle of Wight.

The award was presented at the Green Isle of Wight Awards ceremony, held at the picturesque Watermill at Calbourne, where Cowes Harbour Commission was represented by Sustainable Officer, Ann, and Maintenance Engineer, Billy.

The Green Impact programme is a sustainability and social responsibility engagement and awards scheme designed to support businesses and organisations across the Isle of Wight. It encourages participants to improve their environmental performance, reduce operational costs and help make the Island a cleaner, greener and more attractive place to live, work and do business.

Receiving the Platinum Award is a significant achievement and reflects Cowes Harbour Commission’s ongoing commitment to embedding sustainable practices throughout its operations. From environmental initiatives and responsible resource management to investing in greener ways of working, the organisation continues to place sustainability at the heart of its long-term strategy.

This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of employees across the organisation, whose collective efforts have contributed towards achieving the highest level of accreditation.

Commenting on the award, Cowes Harbour Commission said:

“We are incredibly proud to receive the Platinum Green Impact Award. Sustainability is a key priority for the Commission, and this achievement reflects the commitment and enthusiasm of our entire team. We remain dedicated to protecting our unique harbour environment while continuing to improve the services we provide to our customers and the wider community.”

Cowes Harbour Commission would like to thank the Green Impact programme for recognising its efforts and congratulates all of the organisations that took part in this year’s awards.

As the Commission looks to the future, it remains committed to building on this success by continuing to invest in environmentally responsible initiatives that benefit both the harbour and the wider Isle of Wight community.
