Cowes Harbour Commission was delighted to welcome the luxury cruise ship Europa 2 to Cowes Harbour today as part of the 2026 cruise season, making the vessel’s first-ever visit to port.

To commemorate the occasion, Cowes Harbour Commission’s Deputy Harbour Master Jennie boarded the vessel to meet the Captain and crew for a traditional plaque exchange, celebrating Europa 2’s inaugural call to Cowes. The ceremony reflects a long-standing maritime tradition, recognising the first visit of a ship to a port.

Europa 2 is renowned as one of the world’s leading luxury cruise ships, bringing guests from across the globe to experience destinations including the Isle of Wight. During her visit, passengers had the opportunity to explore Cowes and the wider Island before continuing their voyage through Europe.

Cowes Harbour Commission looks forward to welcoming more cruise vessels throughout the 2026 season and continuing to strengthen Cowes’ position as one of the UK’s premier cruising destinations.
