As we get closer to Christmas time, it’s nice to look forward to next season and start planning our sailing and boating for the year ahead. Shepards Wharf Marina has always been a popular destination for rallies, clubs, or regattas, and next year promises to be even better with the introduction of our fantastic new Events Centre and barbecue/dining area, which will have the best waterfront views in Cowes!
The Shepards ‘Events Centre’
We have some fantastic new projects lined up for 2015 at the Marina; the most exciting of all being the introduction of our new ‘Events Centre’ on site. This brand new facility will give rally participants the opportunity to relax and socialise with a coffee or beer on the comfortable sofas in the ‘clubhouse’ area, watch TV, listen to music, and if preferred, rally organisers can hold their briefings and other meetings indoors too. The Events Centre will open onto an attractive decking area with tables and seating overlooking the harbour, the Medina estuary and the Solent. The Centre is available for rallies to use completely free-of-charge.
The Shepards ‘Barbecue on the Pier’
Also new for next season will be our Caribbean-style ‘barbecue on the pier’! You can now hold your own rally barbecue and make use of our picnic tables and benches whilst enjoying the stunning views and watching the boats go by. If you need charcoal for your barbecue then don’t worry, we sell it at the Marina.
